About Eidon Capital Readiness

Eidon: Stop Guessing. Start Seeing.

The name Eidon comes from the Greek root meaning "to see" or "to know through seeing." In commercial lending, what you can't see will cost you everything.

The Name

Visibility Is the Value Proposition

When it comes to financing, most business owners operate in the dark, hoping their internal numbers match what a lender needs. The path that results in a "Yes" or "No" is clouded and often confusing. Eidon Capital Readiness has a single goal: to help make this path visible and clear. To give you as the business owner the knowledge and understanding of how to get what you want from a lender.

"I chose the name Eidon because my value proposition is visibility. I see the mechanics of your business, the requirements of the bank, and the path between them."

When I look at your financials, I'm not just looking for revenue. I'm stress-testing your risk, your architecture, and your trajectory. I provide the foresight required to stop reacting to the bank and start choosing your own financial story.

The Approach

From Both Sides of the Desk

I spent years in the banker's chair and as a business owner. I know exactly why banks tell you "No." and how much you can borrow before you go to the bank.

My job now is to translate the bank language into the day to day business terms and approaches you already use to run your business. I operate at the intersection of your internal data and lender requirements. The Eidon Capital Readiness System bridges the gap between what you already have and how the lenders want to see it. This is what I call your Financial Architecture.

In the eyes of a bank, growth without structured financial architecture isn't expansion — it's risk.

The Founder

Heidi Schurman: The Insider on Your Side

I have sat on both sides of the desk — some very insightful roles and experiences, some positive, some negative, all educational.

The Business Owner

As a business owner and entrepreneur, my most influential roles have been owning a medical clinic, a property maintenance company, and overseeing the financial control work of more than 20 businesses at once. I was the one asking for money and putting together the loan packages in addition to overseeing day-to-day cash flows with a team of bookkeepers.

The Banker

One of the commercial mortgage brokers I worked with offered me a position as an underwriter and my transition to the other side of the table started. I then became a licensed commercial mortgage broker myself and after 5 years moved to BDC to become a Senior Account Manager at the Entrepreneurship Centre. I worked with large institutional and private lenders, real estate acquisitions and construction and business financing. I understand the credit, underwriting and institutional nuances.

The Discovery

I discovered a massive gap: business owners are smart and capable, but aren't taught the language of the lender. Bankers are often simply too fatigued, or not allowed to explain the "why" behind the rules. And they do not teach their language.

I'm here to bridge that gap and explain how lenders are thinking with Eidon’s Capital Readiness Architecture.
